Baton Rouge, LA – Hammond Woman Killed in Wreck on I-12

Baton Rouge, LA (September 13, 2019) – A fatal crash occurred involving two vehicles in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Thursday, September 12. The accident happened on I-12 west of O’Neal Lane, also known as LA Highway 3245. The wreck took the life of Tommie Todd, 58, of Hammond, Louisiana and injured her passenger. 

According to Louisiana State Police (LSP), the wreck occurred when Todd was on I-12 WB in a 2016 Ford Fusion while a 2007 Freightliner was stopped on the right shoulder. For unknown reasons, the Ford and Freightliner collided.

Todd sustained fatal injuries and died on impact. Her passenger sustained injuries causing her to be transported to the hospital for treatment.  

LSP is investigating the cause of the wreck.
