Baton Rouge, LA (August 9, 2019) – Authorities reopened the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 after a traffic accident in the afternoon of August 9th, closed all eastbound lanes.

The crash occurred on east I-10 in the vicinity of the South Acadian Thruway around 2:49 p.m. After the accident, fire and rescue crews were dispatched to the accident site to clear debris.

Little information has been reported about the crash, except that it resulted in the injury of at least one person at the scene. Local police officials were at the crash site in order to begin an investigation into the accident, and paramedics were on-site to render aid to the injured parties.
