Bossier Parish, LA – 1 Killed In 2-Vehicle Accident On Airline Dr At Kingston Rd

Bossier Parish, LA (July 22, 2019) – There was a fatal crash reported on Sunday, July 21st, in Bossier Parish. The Louisiana State Police were at the scene of the accident on Airline Dr. at Kingston Rd. in the late evening around 7:00 p.m.

57-year-old Albert Orendorff, of Shreveport, was reported to have been killed in the accident. Orendorff was driving a 1996 Toyota Tacoma eastbound on Kingston Rd. He ignored a red traffic signal on Airline Dr. and was hit by a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup truck which was traveling southbound on Airline. 

The driver of the pickup truck sustained injuries in the accident, despite being restrained at the time of the crash, and was transported to a local hospital. It is not believed that intoxication was a factor, but routine toxicology tests are pending. 

Orendorff was also properly restrained but sustained life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. It is unknown if he was impaired at the time of the accident. 

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
