August 26, 2013 BREAKING NEWS Plane Crash in East Haven Conneticut A small plane that took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey crashed in a residential neighborhood in Connecticut on Friday morning, according to the authorities. The authorities could not immediately say how many people were on board the plane, a Rockwell International Turbo Commander 690B, or whether anyone on the ground was injured. The multiengine turbo prop aircraft crashed while approaching the Tweed New Haven Airport at 11:25 a.m., according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration. The plane crashed onto a residential road in East Haven, Charter Oak Avenue, according to several news media Web sites. This is a breaking story. Updates to follow.
