St Martin Parish, LA – 1 Killed In Fiery Multi-Vehicle Wreck On Atchafalaya Basin Bridge

St Martin Parish, LA (August 26, 2019) – Louisiana State Police (LSP) reported that a body was found following a fatal multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 between Baton Rouge and Lafayette. The crash involved at least three 18-wheelers and a passenger car. The accident occurred on Monday, August 26, around 2:00 p.m. 

The fiery multi-car accident disrupted traffic on the interstate. At least four other individuals were reportedly injured in the collision, but the final count is not yet known. The fire started on a log-truck involved in the crash. 

The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been released. Hazmat officials were at the scene to clear the roadway.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
