Lake Pontchartrain, LA – Alabama Woman Killed In Boating Accident
Lake Pontchartrain, LA (July 6, 2019) – Local sources report that a woman from Alabama was on vacation in Louisiana during the 4th of July when she was involved in a fatal boating accident. The incident took place on Lake Pontchartrain while the victim was swimming in the lake.
Authorities have identified the deceased as 20-year-old Lacy Patrick, of Mobile, AL. She was struck by a boat while she was swimming in Lake Pontchartrain.
Patrick’s body was recovered by rescue crews early Friday morning, July 5th, around 7:00 a.m.
The cause of the accident is currently being investigated by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
