Leesville, LA – Anacoco Man Killed in Fatal Crash on State Highway 28

Leesville, LA (July 17, 2019) – This past week, police responded to the scene of a fatal crash that took place on State Highway 28 in Leesville, Vernon Parish, that took the life of one individual.

Police claim that, at the time, a 60-year-old man identified as Timothy Pershing was driving eastbound in his 2006 Ford pickup truck. For reasons that are not known, Pershing went off the right side of the roadway. His vehicle then struck a driveway embankment and rolled over into a tree.

Police claim that, even though Pershing was wearing his seat belt, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
