Livingston, LA – Multiple Injuries After Charter Bus Wreck On I-12 At LA-63

Livingston, LA (August 5, 2019) – Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle accident that shut down Interstate 12 at LA-63 in Livingston, Louisiana. The accident happened at around 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3rd. 

Initial reports from the Livingston Police Department found that a Greyhound bus collided with the railing of the highway, causing traffic to build up around the crash site. This resulted in other collisions taking place. 

One crash involved a car striking the median. As the occupants waited outside the vehicle for assistance, another crash caused a car to strike those waiting at the median. 

Reports first responders indicated that 6 people were hospitalized. At least two of these were occupants of the charter bus. 

The current conditions of the injured parties are unknown.

The story is still developing, and the cause of the pile-up is being investigated.
