New Orleans, LA (July 27, 2019) – Reports from the Louisiana State Police claim that the driver of a stolen car was killed after leaving the roadway. The incident took place on Friday, July 26th, in the early morning at around 4:45 a.m.

The crash happened in the New Orleans area on LA-21 at the intersection with Lavinghouse Rd.

Local officials have identified the deceased as 42-year-old Lionel Harris Jr., who was driving a stolen 2014 Ford Fusion northbound on LA-21. Harris was speeding when he attempted to navigate a curve in the roadway, causing the vehicle to veer off the left side of the road and crash into a ditch.
