New Orleans, LA – Fatal Motorcycle Wreck At St Claude Ave & Egania St

New Orleans, LA (July 28, 2019) – The New Orleans Police Department were investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that took place on Saturday, July 27th. The crash took place late in the evening at around 10:30 p.m at the intersection of St. Claude Ave. and Egania St. 

Initial reports from the scene indicate that a 38-year-old woman driving a Honda Accord was crossing the intersection when a 47-year-old man on a Kawasaki motorcycle ran through it. The motorcyclist struck the driver side of the Honda and was ejected from his bike. 

The man was reportedly traveling eastbound on St. Claude Ave at a high rate of speed. 

The identity of the deceased has not yet been revealed. It is not believed that intoxication was a factor in the crash. 

An investigation is underway into the cause of the collision.
