New Orleans, LA – Fatal Motorcycle Accident With A Semi On I-10 Highrise Bridge

New Orleans, LA (May 31, 2019) – The New Orleans Police Department has reported that a fatal motorcycle occurred on I-10 Highrise Bridge. The crash took place on Friday, May 30th. Police officials were called to the scene around 1:20 p.m. in the afternoon.

The accident involved two vehicles- a motorcycle, and an 18-wheeler commercial truck.

The motorcyclist was attempting to make a lane change in between two 18-wheelers when he collided with the semi causing the motorcyclist to lose control of the motorcycle.  The collision caused the rider to be thrown from his vehicle. One of the 18-wheeler drivers stayed at the scene and it is said that the other may have not known the accident occurred. 

The investigation is still ongoing.
