New Orleans, LA – Person Killed In House Fire On Longfellow Drive

New Orleans, LA (July 10, 2019) – A fire was reported to have broken out on Tuesday, July 9th around noon, tragically resulting in one fatality, according to police. The incident took place on the 4400 block of Longfellow Drive in the city of New Orleans for reasons that are still under investigation.

A two-alarm fire broke out at a home located on Longfellow Drive around noon. Firefighters and emergency medical technicians were called to the scene. While battling the blaze, firefighters discovered an unidentified 61-year-old man lying on the floor inside the home.

The victim was rescued from the building and CPR was attempted. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he tragically passed away. At this time, the victim’s identity has not been released and authorities are working to determine the cause of the fire.
