New Orleans, LA – UPDATE: Anchor Identified In Fatal Crash Near Lakefront Airport

New Orleans, LA (August 18, 2019) – A well-known and respected New Orleans anchor has been identified by authorities as one of the two victims in a fatal airplane crash. The accident happened on Friday, August 16, while the anchor was shooting a story in a stunt airplane. The airplane crashed near the area of New Orleans Lakefront Airport in New Orleans East.

The deceased victim has been identified as 53-year-old Nancy Parker. Parker and the plane’s pilot were killed in the crash, both of which were pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the pilot has not been released at this time. 

Further details surrounding the accident have not yet been released. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
