One Killed In Ascension Parish Accident

A car and a dump truck collided near the intersection of La. 75 and Ashland Road at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Ascension Parish’s industrial corridor along the Mississippi River, killing one person, parish sheriff’s deputies said.

State Police identified the victim as Lonie H. Marchand, 87, of Geismar.  Details regarding the accident are limited at this time potentially indicating uncertainty regarding the cause of the accident.  In cases where the cause of an accident is unclear, it is imperative that the victims family immediately retain the services of a proven, experienced injury attorney.   Absent quality representation, the victims rights will not be properly protected or their interests advanced in the investigation.  Indeed, the family may find it impossible to bring a successful wrongful death claim without the services of a proven, established injury lawyer investigating the case.
