Port Allen, LA (August 22, 2019) – One person sustained fatal injuries in a collision in Port Allen. The accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, August 22, around 5:30 a.m. Officials were at the scene of the accident at La Hwy 1 and Beaulieu Ln. 

The incident involved a pickup truck and a commercial vehicle. Reports from the Louisiana State Police (LSP) indicated that the driver of the pickup truck, 74-year-old Thomas Cloninger, died in the crash.

Further details about the accident have not yet been released. The crash is currently under investigation.
