Shreveport, LA – 2 Injured In Wreck Involving Car Fire On I-20 Near I-49

Shreveport, LA (September 2, 2019) – According to local sources, two people were injured in a crash that significantly impacted traffic near Shreveport, LA. The accident happened on Friday, August 30th, on Interstate 20 EB near Interstate 49 NB.

One of the cars involved in the crash was reportedly on fire. It is unclear the status of the injuries sustained by the individuals involved. It does not appear that anyone was  trapped inside the flaming vehicle.

Dispatch records from the area showed that there were eight units from the Shreveport Fire Department deployed to the scene. Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the collision.

Authorities have not disclosed the nature or severity of the victims’ injuries sustained in the accident. Further information is unavailable at this time.
