Shreveport, LA – Update: Victim ID’d In Fatal Pedestrian Wreck On McCormick St

Shreveport, LA (July 9, 2019) – A local news source confirmed that the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died after being struck by a vehicle in the South Highlands area on Tuesday, July 9th.

According to the police report, 79-year-old Rodney R. Self was walking along the intersection of McCormick Street and Creswell Avenue. For reasons still unknown, at approximately 11:30 p.m. that night, a vehicle slammed into the pedestrian, who died upon collision.

Later, emergency personnel transported Self’s body to a nearby hospital.

As of now, no details about the driver have been revealed.
