Slidell, LA – Two Arrested For Road Rage Accident On Gause Blvd. & Tyler Dr.

Slidell, LA (June 26, 2019) – A local news source confirmed that Slidell Police have arrested two men who are connected to a fatal road rage incident that took place along Gause Boulevard and Tyler Drive yesterday, June 26^th.

Based on the initial report, 45-year-old Matthew Ledet and 71-year-old Benjamin Talton had incited the incident a little before 3:00 p.m. that afternoon. Initially, Ledet had brought his Honda SUV to a stop next to Talton’s Honda along Tyler Drive. At some point, Ledet exited his vehicle and struck the truck, his impact creating a dent in the hood.

Soon after, Talton fired shots at Ledet and struck the 45-year-old in his arm.

Sometime later, Ledet was transported to a hospital, but he will be facing criminal charges once he is released from medical care.

Meanwhile, Talton was arrested and taken to Slidell County Jail for aggravated assault.
