West Baton Rouge Parish, LA (August 15, 2019) – A school bus was struck by an oncoming vehicle after running a red light in West Baton Rouge Parish on Wednesday, August 14th. The crash happened around 7:00 a.m. at the intersection of LA-1 and E St. Francis Street. The school bus had six student passengers on board at the time of the accident.

A video has been reviewed showing evidence of the bus pulling through an intersection slowly, after the light turned red. The condition of the involved students has not been reported. Further information is not available at this time.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by both police officials and the school district.  Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
