Westlake, LA – Traffic Accident Results in Shutdown along I-210 East and I-10

Westlake, LA (June 14, 2019) – A local news source has confirmed that the eastbound lanes of Interstate 210 have reopened following a traffic accident near the I-10 stretch in the Westlake area.

Based on the report from the Louisiana Department of Transportation (LADOTD) Lake Charles, the traffic accident had occurred along east I-210 and the junction of I-10. Following the accident, emergency crews were forced to shut down this portion of the highway until the site had been cleared.

At some time around 4:52 PM on June 14, 2019, authorities reopened the I-210/I-10 stretch.

Traffic continues to back up to the South Beglis Parkway.
