Across Louisiana, 18-wheeler accidents result in significant injuries to thousands. Each year, around 2,300 people sustain injuries in the state after being involved in a wreck with a commercial vehicle. 75 percent of all fatalities involving an 18-wheeler crash were riders of passenger vehicles.
The size of these large vehicles makes them very dangerous to smaller passenger vehicles. Many times, drivers of a semi-truck are exhausted, making their ability to react to hazards on the roadway decline. In some cases, the family of victims who have been killed in a collision with an 18-wheeler can seek compensation with the help of Baton Rouge 18-wheeler crash attorney
