Baton Rouge, LA – 2 Injured In Firetruck Accident At Fairfields Ave & N Acadian Thruway

Baton Rouge, LA (July 30, 2019) – A Baton Rouge Firetruck was involved in a wreck late into the evening on Tuesday, July 30th. The crashed happened at 7:00 p.m. on Fairfields Avenue near North Acadian Thruway. 

A spokesman from the Baton Rouge Fire Department stated that Engine Two was involved in the collision but it was still operational. Reports from emergency respondents claim that two people were injured in the crash and taken to local medical facilities for treatment of their injuries. Both injured parties were not firefighters. 

The incident reportedly took place when the fire engine was responding to a call. At this time, the cause of the collision is unknown.

No other information is available at this time.

An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing.
