New Orleans, LA – Deadly Pedestrian Crash At General Meyer Ave & Woodland Dr

New Orleans, LA (August 11, 2019) – The New Orleans Police Department is currently investigating a fatality resulting from a collision in the Fourth District of New Orleans. The crash happened on Sunday, August 11th, around 10:45 a.m. Police officials reported to the corner of General Meyer Avenue and Woodland Drive, where they found the deceased victim.

Initial reports indicated that a female driver was traveling eastbound on General Meyer Ave. crossing Woodland Dr. when a man entered the roadway. The driver remained at the scene of the wreck and cooperated with the police. It is not believed that intoxication was a factor in the crash. 

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has not yet released the identity of the deceased. The investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
