Theriot, LA – Hit-and-Run Suspect Dies in Wreck on State Rte 315 near LA-182

Theriot, LA (June 11, 2019) – Louisiana State Police were at the scene of a fatal crash that happened on State Rte 315 near the intersection with LA-182. The incident took place on Monday, June 10th, at around 9:30 p.m.

The victim of the accident was 44-year-old Ricky G. Giroir of Houma. Giroir was driving a 2013 Dodge Durango at the time of the crash on State Rte 315 when he traveled off the roadway. He struck a tree and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Giroir was involved in a separate hit-and-run accident shortly before the crash north of the fatal accident.  At this time, it is unclear if anyone was injured in that crash.

Both incidents are currently under investigation.
