Baton Rouge, LA – Police Officer Injured By DUI Driver On I-10 East of LA-3246

Baton Rouge, LA (June 1, 2019) – A state trooper received injuries after an alleged intoxicated driver rear-ended the back of a patrol vehicle. The trooper was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for medical treatment after the wreck, which took place on Thursday, May 23^rd, around 11:45 p.m.

31-year-old Volha Tryshyna was arrested for causing the collision on eastbound Interstate 10 near LA-3246. The trooper was reported to be stopped in the right lane of the highway when he or she was struck by Tryshyna.

The crash itself is still under investigation.
