Hammond, LA -Injury Accident on I-12 WB Near I-55

Hammond, LA (June 25, 2019) – There has been a major accident reported, possibly involving multiple vehicles, at the intersection of I-12 WB near I-55 in Hammond. 

Initial media reports indicate that there was a one-mile backup on I-12 traveling westbound when it was announced at 8:59 a.m. on Thursday, June 20th. 

It was confirmed that the crash resulted in the injury of at least one involved party. 

First responders were at the site of the collision to render aid to injured victims and remove any wreckage from the scene. 

What caused the crash isn’t known at this time, but officials are currently investigating the collision.
