June 24, 2019 Port Allen, LA – UPDATE: Horseback Rider Dies Following Wreck With Pickup on LA-620 Port Allen, LA (June 24, 2019) – Louisiana State Police have released the identities of the injured horseback riders who were in critical condition after being struck by a pickup truck on LA-620 near LA-984. The initial collision happened just have 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22nd. The horseback riders, identified as 33-year-old Temel Dunn and 34-year-old Jonathan Stewart, were traveling west on LA-620 at the time of the wreck. Jordan Patin, 30, was driving on LA-620 in a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck when he struck Dunn and Stewart. Dunn and Stewart were reported to be critical condition after the crash and were taken to Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge for treatment. On Sunday, June 23rd, the Louisiana State Police were notified that Dunn had succumbed to his injuries received in the crash. The crash is currently under investigation at this time.
