Pride, LA – Clinton Woman Killed In Semi Wreck On Greenwell Springs Rd

Pride, LA (August 30, 2019) – Reports from the Louisiana State Police (LSP) indicated that a woman from Clinton was killed in a two-car collision in Pride, LA. The accident took place around 5 a.m. on Greenwell Springs Road. The woman was killed when the driver of an 18-wheeler crossed the centerline of the roadway, striking her vehicle head-on.

A tractor-trailer being driven by 65-year-old Ricky Guilbeau, of Carencro, veered into oncoming traffic, striking a Chevy Silverado driven by 56-year-old Linda Burns. Burns sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. Guilbeau was taken to a local medical facility for the treatment of sustained injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is underway. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Linda Burns at this time.
