Shreveport, LA – Fatal Crash Kills Passenger at I-220 near Lakeshore Dr

Shreveport, LA (June 11, 2019) – Sources report that a 42-year-old man from Shreveport in a car wreck on Sunday, June 9th. The crash happened on I-220 near the exit for Lakeshore Dr.

The deceased is Calvin W. Baker Jr. who was the passenger of a red Toyota Camry traveling westbound on Interstate 220. The wreck happened in the afternoon right before 1:20 p.m.

The car left the highway, striking a tree off the road. Baker died 30 minutes after being taken to Ochsner LSU Health Hospital.

The car’s driver was 38-year-old Dejanara Baker. She only sustained minor injuries in the wreck.

The investigation is still ongoing.
