Centerline Collisions in New Orleans When a driver crosses the centerline of a roadway, they are likely distracted or fatigued. Whatever the cause, they drift into the oncoming lane of traffic, resulting in wrong-way collisions. These crashes are particularly deadly, with 355 people being killed in the U.S. each year due to a wrong-way crash. Due to the excessive force of both vehicles in a wrong-way crash, the injuries can be fairly severe, even leading to death. If the victim survives, they are likely to incur massive medical bills in order to recover from their injuries. This can put a tremendous strain on anyone and makes the process of recovery more difficult.
