August 20, 2019 New Orleans, LA – Officer Struck On I-10 At Twin Span Bridge New Orleans, LA (August 19, 2019) – The New Orleans Police Department reports that an officer was injured by a vehicle on Interstate 10. The officer while parked on the shoulder investigating another officer’s single-vehicle accident. He was the third car traveling eastbound on I-10. The accident happened on Monday, August 19, near New Orleans. The crash occurred around 8:50 a.m. on the Twin Span bridge to Slidell. The other officer was uninjured in the accident.
