Baton Rouge, LA (July 29, 2019) – The there was a man reportedly killed in an accident early Monday morning, July 29th, that involved a garbage truck. 

The incident took place somewhere between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Old Jefferson Hwy and Castle Ridge, near Antioch Rd. 

The accident resulted in the death of one and the injury of another. 

A representative of Richard’s Disposal, Inc. confirmed the deceased was an employee of the company who would often ride on the back of the truck during routes. 

Little information is available at this time. 

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
